Elivate and Travis Perkins

With deep roots in Earley, Elivate has witnessed first-hand the impressive growth of the Travis Perkins branch in nearby Woodley – a branch it’s proud to have supported and worked closely with over the years.

Travis Perkins’ heritage dates back to 1747 when Benjamin Ingram founded a carpentry and joinery business in London. Much like the Elivate team, who began their journey as carpenters, so like Travis Perkins craftsmanship at its core. After merging in 1850, and through many chapters of evolution, Travis Perkins as we know it was born in 1988. Today, it’s part of Travis Perkins Plc – the UK’s largest builders’ merchant – with a network of over 500 branches nationwide, and remains Elivate’s go-to supplier for most of our building materials.

We recently caught up with Graham Irish, Branch Manager of the Woodley site, whose leadership has helped drive the branch to new heights. In fact, 2024 marked their most successful year to date – ranking third nationwide – a milestone Graham credits to his “incredible team and their dedication to getting things right the first time.”

Graham’s journey with Travis Perkins started over a decade ago after relocating from South Africa. Since then, he’s brought his sales expertise to five different branches – from Finchampstead to Bracknell – before landing at Woodley 18 months ago. It’s clear he’s made a lasting impact.

Elivate’s working relationship with the branch has only strengthened over time. Graham knows the Elivate team on a first-name basis and had glowing things to say about our site managers – Craig, Arron, and Baz – praising their knowledge, professionalism, and the strong rapport they’ve built.

While Elivate typically uses the branch closest to each job site, our longstanding partnership with the Woodley team remains a cornerstone of our supply chain. Graham also shared some exciting news: a third delivery lorry will soon be added to the Woodley fleet, ensuring even better service and responsiveness for local projects.

This is a great example of the close, collaborative relationship we’ve built with our suppliers, which helps our teams and the communities we serve continue to thrive.
